CRE Mobile SELLS Iconic Former Smith’s Bakery to Seafood Distributor!

Mobile, Ala., May- 4, 2021 – SOLD. The former Smith’s Bakery at 1201 West I-65 Service Road N. (just north of the Moffett Road I-65 interchange) sold to Ren Seafood’s for $4,170,000.00.  Ren Seafoods will invest $12,400,00.00 to repurpose the former bakery to create a processing facility and distribution hub.  The former Smith’s Bakery campus features 138,715sf of improvements including the production area (70,130sf), a cross dock (35,685sf) and truck service facility (4,826sf) all situated upon 15.64 acres land. Frios Gourmet Pops occupies approximately 30,000sf of the building as a tenant in the space that was used by the bakery for storage and distribution space.  Marietta Urquhart and Jamie Ison with White-Spunner Realty represented Ren Seafoods in the transaction and David Dexter with CRE Mobile worked for the sellers.
